Mark Mulholland

In his role as senior construction advisor, Mark interacts directly with contractors, clients and virtually every design discipline at SmithGroup. “The firm has such a wide variety of talent, I am learning new things all the time,” he says. He’s pleased to continue learning, often incorporating new technologies or participating in “lessons learned” presentations of completed projects. “I’m constantly using our ‘Design a Better Future’ philosophy during the construction process to come up with innovative solutions to bring back to the design team,” he reports. It’s quite a change from his career roots in residential carpentry, a skill he continues to pursue as a hobby. Football also has been a lifelong interest for Mark. “I played through college, and it taught me many life lessons that I still use and value in my career today,” he remarks.
