The new 227,000-square-foot LEED Gold-certified facility houses more than 100 principal investigators in open, shared laboratories and support spaces that provide flexibility for a wide range of science and research disciplines.

Centrally located core labs provide space for comparative medicine, genomics, imaging and flow cytometry, making for not only a dynamic lab environment, but one that supports scientific discovery and collaboration.
In addition to lab functions, the Center for Translational Research also features a 250-seat amphitheater and a 90-seat lecture hall to accommodate academic and public programs. SmithGroup designers provided programming, lab planning, fit-out and civil engineering services in conjunction with core and shell and interior architect, Solomon Cordwell and Buenz (SCB).
