Andrea Cabalo
With a portfolio of cultural, civic and education projects, Andrea takes particular satisfaction working on university laboratory renovations. “By creating a custom environment that enhances the way researchers work or optimizes a research project, I feel like I have contributed in a small way to their exploration,” she reports. Andrea contributes plenty to her own profession. She’s president of the AIA chapter in Pasadena, volunteers as an advisor for candidates seeking their architectural license, and co-teaches a construction management course at California State University. Andrea is an admirer of Julia Morgan (“the first woman to attend the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and the first licensed female architect in California”) and a fan of science fiction. “Star Wars or Star Trek…” she muses. “I’d like to know which is the most accurate depiction of humanity’s future.”
