“Education has the potential to change lives and therefore the world,” declares Jessica. “I’m excited every day by the opportunity to work on projects that positively impact the student learning and campus life experience.” Jessica says she is forever indebted to her grandmothers for that opportunity. “Both were intelligent, confident women who immensely valued education,” she explains. “They worked very hard to make a college education possible for their children, despite not going to college themselves. I would not be where I am today without them.” Jessica gives back by mentoring students and serving on the Interior Design Advisory Board at her undergraduate alma mater, Kansas State. Jessica’s vacations often involve national parks—she visits about three a year—and hiking in the Rockies, which she commemorates in a unique way: with an X-ACTO knife and cardstock, she creates three-dimensional topographical maps of each mountain.
