Gabriel believes in the power of architecture to transform people and places. “I can't see myself in any other profession," he says. With more than 30 years of experience, Gabriel's work on research, higher education, and healthcare projects, connects with his interests in community, ecological performance, and high-performing teams, "to Design a Better Future." His passion for design extends beyond the built environment. "My late evening escape to watercolor painting is a sardonic return," he says. "Take control, give control, a world created from a limited economy of materials and of course, water." Through all of his projects, Gabriel supports a dedication to design, technical proficiency, and an understanding of the larger process to translate vision, goals, program, complex building systems, costs, and schedule, into reality.
