Our Response to COVID-19

UPDATED 6/29/2020

As we continue to adapt the way we work due to current events, our teams are demonstrating a level of resilience and adaptability that makes us proud.  Our change in working conditions will not change our ability and desire to serve clients at the highest level possible.

Investing in technology has always been a priority for our firm and this has proven that to be a valuable strategy. Our team is using the wide range of tools at their disposal to ensure that we can continue to move projects forward and provide clients with the benefit of our expertise in these challenging times.

The health and well-being of our team continues to be our highest priority. We are monitoring this incredibly fluid situation very carefully to ensure that we are providing them with the best guidance and resources to keep them safe. While our desire to fulfill this commitment may lead to additional changes in how we conduct business, we remain committed to serving the needs of our clients.

Since our firm’s founding in 1853, we have witnessed many historic moments and persevered through them all. While the COVID-19 outbreak is unlike anything any of us have seen in our lifetimes, we are confident that an incredible partnership with all our clients and an unstoppable team within our firm will help us all make it through this challenge together.

HOW WE’RE WORKING

In adherence to the guidelines set by the Center for Disease Controls and Prevention (CDC), as well as various states and local municipalities, many of our offices remain closed, but some have started to re-open where conditions permit. Where our offices have opened, there is a very small population of the staff working in the office - most of our teams are continuing to work remotely. That will continue to evolve as various states adapt their restrictions to the changing conditions. We have also suspended all intercontinental travel and eliminated all non-essential domestic travel.

FOR OUR HEALTHCARE AND GOVERNMENT CLIENTS

We understand that our government and healthcare clients are going through an unprecedented and challenging time. Our firm is here to help you in providing facility expertise that might best support you throughout this pandemic, including assessments for triage and alternate care sites, capacity space planning, temporary or modular facilities or reactivating delicensed space, engineering assessments, and isolation and infection control advice. We are complying with all CDC guidelines, but we can continue to work virtually with you and adapt to best serve your needs. We do recommend that you first contact the firm most familiar with your facility plan to expedite solutions, but we stand ready to help if that is not feasible. Please get in touch with your project contacts to discuss or reach out to one of our market leaders for assistance.
