Jamison Caldwell

SmithGroup is excited to announce that Jamison Caldwell has been recognized as a "40 Under 40" honoree by Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine.

Jamison is a leading voice in the firm’s progressive work in decarbonization, electrification and the design of high-performance buildings.

His work has crossed a wide range of project types and markets including healthcare, science & technology, higher education, cultural institutions and campus planning. Some of the more recent work that he is most proud of includes the Henry Ford Cancer Institute Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion in Detroit, the Health and Life Sciences Building at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland, the Academic Building 1 at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus and the renovation and expansion of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in his adopted hometown of Richmond.

Jamison has been further able to support decarbonization efforts by supporting clients with their campus and portfolio-wide analysis of carbon emissions. As part of the recent North Carolina State University Physical Master Plan developed by SmithGroup, he helped outline a plan to transition from centralized steam to a series of distributed energy exchange plants.
