Darryl Jackson
With a penchant for solving mysteries, Darryl once considered a career in law enforcement. Even as he pursued his profession as an architect, "I recognized early that I was more technically minded than design driven," Darryl says. "I've enjoyed solving complex designs and helping junior designers develop their own ideas. SmithGroup has allowed me to carve my own path." One early project along that path was the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum in Chicago, an interactive experience dedicated to First Amendment rights. "It was the first project I worked on with public access, and I recall feeling very proud of their reactions to it," he remembers. Goodbye Things and Death Wins a Goldfish are two books that resonate with Darryl, "making you think deeply about what is truly important."
