Bob Sly
Bob’s description of his typical workday is reminiscent of the old duck metaphor: placid above water, while furiously paddling underneath. On the outside, he’s engaged with client and internal team meetings, coaching and project submissions; on the inside, “My mind races as I’m planning two weeks ahead,” he reveals. “Thinking proactively allows me to anticipate hurdles and be better prepared to provide informed solutions when challenges come along.” Ironically, if Bob could time travel, he’d go back in time—albeit not very far in years or distance. He’d head for the University of Miami in 1983, several years before he became a student there. “Each fall I live for Miami Hurricanes football,” Bob explains. “I’d experience the full Miami Hurricanes football season, culminating in their first national championship.”
