SmithGroup Celebrates Kaiser Permanente Railyards Medical Center Groundbreaking

KPRY Sacramento

SmithGroup celebrates the groundbreaking of the new Kaiser Permanente Railyards Medical Center at the Sacramento Railyards. This state-of-the-art facility will be a beacon of health and wellness, reflecting the vibrant and unique culture of Sacramento, California.

Sacramento, known for its rivers, trees and diverse neighborhoods, is a city where community spirit thrives. The Kaiser Permanente Railyards Medical Center campus is designed to complement this spirit, integrating seamlessly with the city’s fabric. The design is a broad stroke of color, light and nature, stretching from “River to Park,” creating a welcoming environment that connects the community.

The new hospital will be situated on an 18-acre site in the heart of downtown Sacramento at The Railyards. The Railyards is one of the nation’s largest infill projects transforming 244 acres of historically significant land into a mixed-use urban community offering residential, retail, office, cultural and entertainment amenities, parks and a transportation hub.
