Kansas City University Awarded SCUP Excellence Award

The Kansas City University Campus Master Plan and College of Dental Medicine was awarded a Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) 2024 Excellence Special Citation in the New Building Category.

This prestigious program honors achievement in strategic, integrated planning that results in exemplary buildings and grounds, institutional success and careers that inspire.

Designed in partnership with Helix Architecture + Design, the new facility for the College of Dental Medicine reinforces the university’s commitment to holistic health, with special emphasis on healthcare for rural, underserved areas. Additionally, it was the first dental school in the nation with a design fully informed by the pandemic, incorporating protocols that have now become standard.
